The Supervisory Board of TransnetBW has appointed Michael Jesberger as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer. The 55-year-old will take up the office at the transmission systems operator in Baden-Wuerttemberg as soon as possible – at the latest, however, by 1 July 2019. Michael Jesberger, an electrical engineer, is moving from the technology area of TenneT to TransnetBW. At TenneT, he was responsible for the areas of grid planning, systems technology and asset strategy. Mr Jesberger has over 20 years of management experience in transmission grids and in industry. The main stations of his career included Siemens AG and the ABB Group as well as energy Group RWE.

Dr Hans-Josef Zimmer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board: “The Supervisory Board of TransnetBW is delighted to have gained in Michael Jesberger an experienced energy and grid manager to join the Executive Board. As Chairman of the Supervisory Board, I think that the combination of a profound understanding of the industry as well as overarching industry expertise is key in terms of modern, future-facing company management, in particular with a view to growing our company”.
