Management

The Executive Board of TransnetBW GmbH is made up of three members who manage the company jointly under the chairmanship of Dr. Werner Götz.

Our stance

Energy transition

We at TransnetBW are strong advocates of the energy transition. We are convinced that every investment in a climate-neutral energy system will pay off since we want to ensure that we can enjoy a good quality of life on our planet for all in the future. We know that we are on the right path and that renewables are the solution to halting climate change. We are helping to put this into practice.

War in the Ukraine

We at TransnetBW stand with the people of Ukraine who were attacked by Russia on 22 February 2022. We condemn the Russian war against Ukraine and are in favour of supporting Ukraine in its efforts to defend itself against the Russian aggressor. Russia’s actions contravene international law and endanger the freedom of all of us.

Populist parties

The TransnetBW Executive Board advocates a defensive or well-fortified democracy as outlined in article 21 of the German Basic Law. We as TransnetBW reject parties that aim to impair our free democratic basic order. We appeal to the population not to be deceived by party programmes that are only pretending to be democratic. Because we are convinced that freedom, equality and the rule of law must be defended where extremist parties jeopardise them. TransnetBW considers populist parties like the AfD a risk. The AfD denies man-made climate change, advocates ruinous form of protectionism, stokes racism and wants to isolate Germany. We at TransnetBW believe in the benefits of the European Union and that the transformation of the energy system can only succeed if the countries of Europe collaborate within the framework of a democratic basic order. In our view, parties like the AfD attract protest voters that have not looked at the party-political goals as such, but who are simply dissatisfied with the current government. However, we do not consider a protest vote the right way to solve the challenges we are faced with.

Diversity

We at TransnetBW foster an open and appreciative corporate culture. Equal opportunities for all are important to us. We employ qualified people – regardless of their social or ethnic backgrounds, their gender, their gender identity, their sexual orientation or religion, their age, their physical or mental abilities. We believe that diversity is an asset.
